NOVOTEX AGRO is a 100% recyclable polypropylene nonwoven developed for agriculture. It has permeability, ventilation levels and microbial barrier suitable to the needs of different crops when treated against degradation caused by ultraviolet sunrays.

NOVOTEX AGRO works as a physical barrier against insects and other organisms and as protection against climatic variations, such as frost, extreme cold and heat. NOVOTEX AGRO creates a microclimate that encourages plant growth while protecting plants against natural enemies.
It can be supplied in rolls for floating covers to be placed directly over plants and lifted as they grow or for substrate isolation blanket to avoid direct contact between plant and soil.
It is also available as fruit protective wrappings, such as bags and “Chinese hats” in various sizes to fit different fruit.
FITESA is currently working together with biologists, agronomists, universities and agribusiness organizations, to develop specific applications for each crop. Proven technology is being applied to the following crops: pineapple, pumpkin, lettuce, atemoya, banana, potato, beans, guava, soursop, mango, melon, watermelon, bell pepper, peach palm, tomato and grapes.
